Okay, so I saw this “young Messi hair” trend going around, and I figured, why not give it a shot? My hair’s been getting a bit long anyway, and I’ve always kinda admired that messy, youthful look Messi had back in the day. I have zero experience on styling my hair, I always thought it was too troublesome.
First things first, I needed some reference pictures. So, I just Googled “young Messi hair” and a ton of images popped up. I saved a few that seemed like the style I was going for – you know, that shaggy, slightly unkempt, but still cool vibe.
Next, I had to, like, actually do something with my hair. I started by washing it. I used a regular shampoo, because I usually wash my hair with it.
After the shower, that is the hard part, I grabbed my comb, tried my best to follow the image that I just found on Google, comb the hair to the way that looks like the image. The actual result is kinda messy, and nothing really similar to the “young Messi Hair” style, But hey, I think I can handle this.
I used the hair dryer, but I don’t really know how to control the wind, so basically I just randomly dry my hair, nothing fancy. I think the hair is too dry.
So I went back to washroom, wet my hair a little bit, and used some hair product that my wife bought weeks ago, she said it can style my hair, I never used it before. So I just put some on my hand, and try to apply it evenly to my hair, and start to try my best to “style” it.
It took a few tries, and a lot of looking back and forth between the mirror and the pictures, but I think I kinda got it? It’s definitely not perfect, and probably looks nothing like actual young Messi hair, but it’s…different. It’s messier, for sure, and has a bit more volume. I’m not sure if I’d wear it out like this, maybe need more practice, or maybe just a completely new haircut. I don’t even know. Let’s see.
