Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with recreating the Yamaha bike logo. You know, the one with the tuning forks? I always thought it looked pretty cool, and I figured it would be a fun little design exercise.

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to get a good look at the actual logo. I just did a quick search online and found a bunch of images. I saved a few of the clearest ones to use as a reference. I noticed it’s basically three tuning forks overlapping each other inside a circle, plus the “Yamaha” wordmark.
Recreating the Tuning Forks
I decided to start with the tuning forks. My initial idea was to draw out basic shapes to make fork, and duplicate it.
- I started drawing the basic fork like shape.
- Tried to figure out the correct angle to duplicate and rotate.
- After a few tries, I got the angles and positioning pretty much *’s not perfect, but it’s close enough for this little project.
Adding the “Yamaha” Text
Next up was the “Yamaha” text. I could tell it wasn’t any standard font I had on my computer. It’s a bit stylized. So I looked closely, focused on the shapes of each letter, and started drawing it. I tried to keep the spacing and proportions similar to the reference image.
Putting It All Together
Once I had the tuning forks and the text, I just needed to combine them. I put all the elements together, the final logo looks done!
It’s a simplified version,I finally made it!
