Okay, so I saw Wyndham Clark sink that insane putt on the 18th, and I just had to try and recreate it myself. I mean, that was clutch, right?

The Setup
First, I grabbed my putter – nothing fancy, just my old reliable one. Then, I headed out to the practice green at my local course. It’s not Pebble Beach, obviously, but it’s got a decent slope that I figured I could use.
The Practice
I started by just getting a feel for the green. I dropped a few balls about where I imagined Clark’s putt was, maybe a bit shorter to start. I spent a good 20 minutes just trying different speeds and lines. It’s way tougher than it looks on TV!
- First few putts? Way off. Either left them short or blasted them past the hole.
- Then, I started to get a little closer. I focused on really reading the break.
- One putt actually looked like it was going in… then it lipped out. So frustrating!
The “Clark” Moment
After a while, I moved the ball back to a spot that felt pretty similar to where Clark was. I took a deep breath, visualized the line, and just… let it go.
Honestly, I didn’t nail it exactly like he did. The pressure of a major championship is a whole different beast! But, I did manage to sink a few putts from that distance, with a similar break. It felt pretty awesome, even if it wasn’t on national television.
It really made me appreciate how good these pros are. That putt was no joke, and Clark handled it like a champ. I gave it my best shot, and while I’m no Wyndham Clark, I definitely had some fun trying!
