Okay, so I’ve been meaning to upgrade my irons for a while now, and I finally took the plunge with the Wilson D9s. Let me tell you, the whole process, from researching to actually hitting them on the course, has been quite a ride.

The Research Phase
First, I spent hours, and I mean hours, online. I read every review I could find, watched YouTube videos of guys testing them out, and compared them to like a million other irons. It was exhausting, honestly! But, I wanted to make sure I was making a good decision, you know?
Making the Purchase
Finally, after all that research,I felt pretty good with D9, then I went to the local golf shop. I held the D9s in my hands, took a few practice swings, and just felt that they were right for me. It’s hard to explain, but they just felt…solid. I decided, “Yep, these are coming home with me.” And bought them right.
First Swings at the Range
- The next day, I headed straight to the driving range. I was so excited,I grabbed the 7-iron first, and I put a ball, then I took a normal swing and I hit it.
- And the feeling, the ball just flew. It went straighter and farther than I was used to with my old irons.
- I spent a good hour just hitting ball after ball, experimenting with different clubs in the set.I was so exciting when I played them.
Taking Them to the Course
The real test came when I took them out on the course. I was a little nervous, to be honest. I played the front nine, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. My shots were more consistent, I was hitting more greens, and I even shaved a few strokes off my score. That’s a win in my book!
The Verdict (So Far)
Overall, I’m super happy with my Wilson D9 irons. I’ve only had them for a short time, but they’ve already made a noticeable difference in my game. I’m excited to keep playing with them and see how much more I can improve. If you’re thinking about getting new irons, I’d definitely recommend giving the D9s a try!
