Okay, so I’ve been meaning to mess around with Sentry’s leaderboard feature for a while, and I finally got around to it. I wanted to see who on my team was resolving the most issues, you know, just for fun and maybe a little friendly competition.

Getting Started
First things first, I had to find the leaderboard. It wasn’t super obvious at first. I poked around the Sentry dashboard for a bit. I looked into “Issues” and some of the other tabs, getting nowhere fast.
Digging Deeper
Then, I did what everyone do,I did a little searching online. I found it! Turns out,it is in the “Issues” and then I saw the “All Unresolved Issues” ,then I changed to “All Assigned Issues”.
The Reveal
I changed some options, then the leaderboard popped right up! It was pretty cool to see a visual representation of who’s been tackling the most bugs. I was surprised by, some guys I didn’t expect were at the top.
- Issue Count: This shows the total number of * straightforward.
- Users Affected: how many different users ran into the issues.
- Events: The number of events.
My Takeaway
Honestly, it was a neat little experiment. It is fun to checking out the stats, also a good way to keep, kind of a pulse on how we’re doing as a team in terms of squashing bugs.
I am thinking maybe I will check it out more regularly, it’s kind of motivating, you know?
