Okay, so I finally got around to tackling season 2 of Martin. Heard some chatter about it, figured I’d give it a proper go myself.
How It Started
Pulled it up on whatever streaming service had it these days. Took a minute to find, honestly, menus everywhere. Anyway, got season 2 ready. Didn’t really have big plans, just thought I’d watch an episode or two one evening after getting back from fixing that leaky faucet. Needed something light.
The Actual Process
Ended up watching more than just one or two episodes that first night. It kinda just pulls you along, you know? Easy stuff to have on. Didn’t need much brainpower, which was good. Just sat back and let it roll.
I watched it over maybe a week, maybe a bit longer. Didn’t binge it straight through like some people do. Just an episode here, a couple there. Sometimes I’d have it on while I was sorting through some old parts in the garage. It’s good background noise, familiar.
Things I Noticed
- The energy is still pretty high. Lawrence really threw himself into it.
- Some bits are genuinely funny, even now. Others, well, you can tell it’s from a different time.
- Man, the fashion and the hairstyles. Takes you right back.
Found myself chuckling at stuff I probably saw years ago but didn’t remember. Sheneneh, Dragonfly Jones… pretty memorable characters they came up with.

Some Thoughts After
Finished the season. Felt kinda… simple. In a good way, maybe? Sitcoms back then weren’t trying to be huge movie-like things. Just laughs, mostly contained in one episode. You watch it, you laugh (or you don’t), you move on. Not like today where you need a flowchart to keep track of who’s who and what happened six seasons ago.
Made me think about how entertainment has changed. Everything feels so complicated now. This was just straightforward. Hang out with these characters for half an hour. It was kind of refreshing, reminded me of just vegging out after a long day’s work without needing to commit to some massive story.
Wrapping It Up
So yeah, that was my run-through of Martin season 2. I watched the episodes. I had some laughs. I thought about how things used to be for a minute. Didn’t change my life or anything. Just ticked it off the list, you could say. Solid enough way to kill some time. Now, gotta figure out what’s next on the list. Probably fix that screen door finally.
