Okay, so I wanted to catch the Argentina vs. Canada game. You know, the Copa America opener. I was pretty pumped about it ’cause, hey, it’s Messi, right? But I’m on the West Coast, and these things always get tricky with the time difference.

First thing I did, naturally, was hit up Google. Just typed in “Argentina vs Canada time PST” real quick. I saw a bunch of articles pop up, most of them talking about the kickoff being at 8 PM. But here’s the thing – that was Eastern Time, over in Atlanta. Tricky, tricky.
So, I had to do the mental math. I know the time difference between East and West Coast is three hours. You know, Pacific time is three hours behind Eastern. I remember from somewhere that Eastern is like 5 pm when it’s 8 pm, so we are just 3 hours behind them.
So, 8 PM Eastern minus 3 hours equals… 5 PM Pacific time. Bingo! That’s when I needed to tune in.
I made a note of it on my phone, set an alarm for, like, 4:55 PM just to be safe. Wouldn’t want to miss the start of the match, you know?
Game day rolls around. I got my snacks ready, put on my Argentina jersey (yeah, I’m a fan, sue me), and waited for that time to watch this exciting game with my brother.

When 5 PM hit, I turned on the TV, found the right channel, and there it was! The game was just starting. Perfect timing! And the match starts just on time! Woo!
In the end, Argentina won! I am really happy that I didn’t miss this amazing game. Thanks to the internet, it is quite easy to find the right time to enjoy a game.
What I learned from this experience
- Always double-check the time zone when you’re looking up match times.
- Set an alarm, so you don’t miss anything.
- The time difference between Eastern Time and Pacific Time is 3 hours.
- Don’t miss the game! It’s always fun to watch a soccer game.
That’s my little adventure figuring out the Argentina vs. Canada game time. Hope it helps someone else out there!
