What is Whiscash Weak Against? Best Counters Explained!

Okay, so the other day I was battling it out in a Pokémon game, and my trusty Whiscash got absolutely wrecked. I was like, “Whoa, what just happened?” I knew Whiscash was a Water/Ground type, but I totally blanked on its weaknesses. So, I decided to do a little digging and figure this out once and for all.

My Deep Dive into Whiscash Weakness

First, I grabbed my phone and hit up some of those Pokémon websites. You know, the ones with all the stats and type charts. I scrolled through a bunch of info, and it started coming back to me.

See, the thing about dual-type Pokémon is they can have double weaknesses. And that’s exactly Whiscash’s problem.

  • Whiscash, that is Water and Ground.
  • Water is weak to Grass and Electric.
  • Ground is weak to Water, Grass, and Ice.

So I put two and two together. Because It’s BOTH, It got a big problem from Grass type. And Grass-type moves are gonna do 4x the damage! Ouch!

Putting it to the Test

To really make sure I understood, I jumped back into the game. I found some trainers with Grass-type Pokémon and threw my Whiscash into the mix. Yep, just as I thought – those Grass attacks were brutal! My poor Whiscash didn’t stand a chance.

I even experimented a bit with Electric, Water, and Ice attacks. Electric did normal damage since Water’s weakness and Ground’s immunity canceled each other out. Water and Ice did the standard 2x damage because of that Ground typing.

So, the lesson I learned? Always, always, ALWAYS keep type matchups in mind! And when it comes to Whiscash, steer clear of those Grass-types. It’s a recipe for disaster otherwise.
