Okay, so today I decided to dive deep into “Koumei” in Warframe. I’ve heard whispers about it, seen it mentioned in chats, but never really knew what the fuss was about. Time to figure it out myself!

Getting Started
First, I googled “warframe koumei.” Mostly forum posts and some wiki stuff popped up. Seems like it’s a Zaw, a modular melee weapon. Okay, cool. I love building Zaws! It mentioned something about a specific combination of parts, so I knew I needed to get those.
Farming the Parts
The wiki pages told me which parts I needed and where to get the blueprints. Sounded like a bit of a grind, to be honest.
- Plague Keewar (Strike): for some status thing, I am not sure.
- Plague Akwin (Grip): Sound like the handle, I need to farm on Cetus.
- Vargeet II Jai (Link): It’s hard.
I spent a good chunk of the afternoon running bounties. It took forever to get all the blueprints. I got a few duplicates along the way, which was super annoying. My fingers were starting to ache from all the button mashing!
Building the Thing
Once I finally had all the blueprints, it was time to build. I headed back to my Orbiter, grabbed the materials from my inventory (thank goodness I had enough!), and started the crafting process. Of course, it takes time to build, so I had to wait. I went off and did some other missions while it was cooking.
I came back. I was a bit impatient. I was refreshing the foundry screen every few minutes, tapping my foot. Finally, it finished!

The Result
I equipped the Koumei and took it for a spin. I have to equip mods to make it better. I slapped on some basic mods – attack speed, damage, and a little bit of elemental damage for good measure. I jumped into a low-level mission to test it out.
Honestly, it’s pretty fun. I’m not sure if it’s the best Zaw ever, like some people claim, but it’s definitely solid. I need to experiment more with different mod setups to really see what it can do. For now, though, I’m pretty happy with my new toy. I am so tired.
