Vice Pro Ball Review: Honest Opinion After Playing 5 Rounds!

Okay, so I finally got my hands on some Vice Pro golf balls. I’ve been hearing about them for a while, seeing them all over social media, and I wanted to see what the hype was all about. I’m no pro golfer, just your average weekend warrior, but I’m always looking for ways to maybe, just maybe, shave a few strokes off my game.

Getting Started

First thing I did was order a dozen online. Pretty straightforward process, nothing fancy. They arrived a few days later, and I gotta say, the packaging is pretty slick. Makes you feel like you’re getting something premium, even before you open it.

Hitting the Range

Next up, the driving range. I grabbed my clubs and a bucket of the Vice Pros and headed out. I started with my wedges, just getting a feel for them. Right away, I noticed the ball felt… different. Softer, maybe? It definitely came off the club face with a nice sound. Not that “click” you sometimes get with cheaper balls.

I moved on to my irons. Again, that soft feel was there. I felt like I was getting good compression, and the ball flight seemed pretty consistent. Distance-wise, I wasn’t seeing a huge difference, but I did feel like I had a bit more control over where the ball was going. That’s a win in my book.

The Driver Test

Now for the big stick – the driver. This is where I was really curious to see if these balls lived up to the hype. I teed one up, took my usual swing (which, let’s be honest, is far from perfect), and… boom. The ball just launched. Seriously, it felt like it exploded off the face.

I hit a few more, and the results were pretty consistent. Longer carry, definitely. And again, that control factor. I wasn’t slicing them into the next county nearly as often as I usually do. (Still happened a couple of times, but hey, I’m no pro, remember?)

Chipping and Putting

After the range, I spent some time on the chipping green and putting green. Around the greens, the Vice Pro felt really responsive. I could get some good check on my chips, and the roll on the putts felt smooth and true. No weird jumps or skips.

The Final Verdict (For Now)

So, after my little experiment, what do I think of the Vice Pro balls? I’m impressed. For a mid-handicapper like me, they seem to offer a good balance of distance, control, and feel.

I wouldn’t say they are the best, and I still need some time on the actual course.

Are they going to magically transform my game? Probably not. But do they feel great to hit, and do I think they might help me play a little bit better? Yeah, I do. I’ll definitely be using them for my next round, and I’ll see how they perform when it actually counts.

I’ll keep using these.
