Okay, so I’ve been seeing “truist pga tour” pop up everywhere and I finally decided to dig in and figure out what the deal was. Turns out, it’s not as complicated as I thought!
My Little Investigation
First, I just Googled it. Simple, right? I wanted the basic info.
I found out pretty quickly that Truist is a bank. And, obviously, the PGA Tour is, well, the PGA Tour – all about professional golf.
So, I figured Truist must be sponsoring some golf events. I went to the PGA Tour website.
I scrolled around, looking for anything mentioning Truist. Honestly, I didn’t see a huge “Truist PGA Tour” banner or anything like that.
Then, I remembered seeing something about the “Truist Atlanta Open” before. It is a tenis event. AHA! I should searched for it before.
I checked the Truist website, and there’s was a little information that mentioned a golf event.
Putting It All Together
No huge, dedicated “Truist PGA Tour” thing exists, Truist is sponsors of PGA, but not a huge deal to build a new event.
