Okay, so today I decided to mess around with my kid’s toy. You know, one of those voice-changing things? My grand idea was to make myself sound like a “very good bad boy” – whatever that means. I thought it would be hilarious, maybe even get a few laughs on the family group chat.
The Setup
First, I grabbed the toy. It’s a bright red, plastic microphone thingy with a few buttons for different effects. I fiddled with it for a bit, trying to remember how it worked. My kid usually just screams into it, so I wasn’t entirely sure which button did what.

The Experiment
Then, I started experimenting. I pressed the first button – a super high-pitched, squeaky voice. Nope, not “bad boy” material. I tried the second one – a deep, booming voice that sounded like a monster truck. Closer, but still not quite * sound very very aweful and made my dog barking loudly.
The third button… well, that’s where things got weird. It wasn’t a pre-set voice. Instead, it seemed to distort my own voice, making it sound all warbly and… kinda creepy.I really don’t know how to describe that sound in detail,but It’s really weird!
I practiced saying “I’m a very good bad boy” a few times, trying different * sound really like a drunk uncle,you know.
The Result (and a Little Bit of Regret)
Finally, I recorded a short clip of myself. I listened back, and… well, it was definitely something. Not exactly what I was going for, but unique, I guess? It sounded less like a “bad boy” and more like a robot having a mid-life crisis.I decided I couldn’t very well determine whether it was good or * I just sent to my families.
I sent the recording to my family group chat. My wife immediately replied with a string of confused emojis. My kid just sent back a voice message of him screaming into the toy, effectively drowning out my masterpiece. My sister told me i sounds silly.
So, yeah. My attempt to be a “very good bad boy” didn’t exactly go as planned. But hey, at least I provided some unintentional * I found the toy have a really interesting function. Maybe next time I’ll try to sound like a very good good girl? Or maybe I’ll just stick to my normal voice. Lesson learned: voice changers are unpredictable, and my family has a very low tolerance for my weird experiments.
