Alright, so I had this idea to make a “biker series”, just some random stuff about riding and fixing up bikes. Nothing too serious, just for fun, you know?

First thing I did was try to sign up for an account on some forum, I don’t remember the name. I typed in my details, but I guess I messed up somewhere because I couldn’t log in later. I had to use the “Forgot your login details?” thing. Annoying, but I got in eventually.
Then I started digging around for some info. I’m no expert, so I was just googling whatever came to mind. Found this website called Quizlet with flashcards. Learned about something called “binary format” – sounds boring as hell, but I guess it’s important for computers. Also stumbled upon this thing called “CodePlex” which seems to be some kind of developer thing. Not really my area, but hey, I was on a roll.
I was also thinking, what if I wanted to pimp out my garage into a cool biker hangout spot? I found some info about renovating, but it was all about child care facilities. Weird, right? Apparently, there’s something called an “On Hold” license status for child care homes if you want to take a break. What’s that got to do with bikes? Beats me.
I also found a checklist for plugin developers. Yeah, I know, I’m not a developer, but it was interesting to see what those guys have to consider. I guess making plugins is more complicated than it looks.
Then I got into some real technical stuff. It was something like how applications talk to the computer’s kernel to get resources like memory and CPU. My brain started to hurt at this point, so I moved on.

Continuing with the whole biker hangout idea, I found out that if you want to open a biker bar or something, you need to talk to a “Program Consultant“. They help you figure out if your place is suitable and give you advice. That’s actually pretty helpful.
Finally, I came across this company called Datadog. They have something called “Real User Monitoring“. No idea what that is, but it sounds fancy. I’m just trying to put together some biker videos, not start a tech company!
Anyway, that was my little adventure into the world of bikers and, uh, some other random stuff. I haven’t put together any videos yet, but I learned some new things. Who knew there was so much stuff out there?
- Some kind of login thing
- Binary format and CodePlex
- Child care licenses, for some reason
- A checklist for plugin developers
- Applications and kernels
- Program Consultants for biker bars
- Something called Real User Monitoring from a company called Datadog
Things I found out about today:
Maybe I’ll turn this into an actual series, maybe not. We’ll see. It’s all just for kicks, anyway.
