So, I’ve been messing around with this idea for a while, and today I finally made something I think is pretty cool. It’s this “3 headed horse” thing. Sounds weird, I know, but stick with me here.
It all started when I was reading some old stories. You know, the kind with heroes, monsters, and epic battles. I got really into horses and what they mean in these tales. These stories talk about horses as if they’re super important, symbols of wealth and power, but also like, man’s best friend but bigger and stronger. And they’re not just in the good guy stories. Horses show up in some pretty dark stuff too, like nightmares and all that spooky business.
I spent days just diving into this stuff. There are also these things called centaurs, which are basically half-man, half-horse. They are, like, stuck between being wild and being civilized. It got me thinking about how these creatures are used to represent different things, sometimes good, sometimes bad. And it’s not just in old Greek stories, I found similar ideas in myths from all over the world. It blew my mind how this one animal could mean so many different things.
I started sketching, trying to capture all these ideas in one image. It wasn’t easy. I wanted something that looked powerful but also a bit messed up, you know? That’s when the three heads idea came in. I thought, “What if each head represents a different side of what horses symbolize?”
Here’s how I broke it down:
- First Head: I made this one look strong and noble. It’s the hero’s horse, the one that charges into battle without fear. It also has, you know, a war vibe going on, showing that horses were super important in ancient battles. This one’s kind of like those old statues you see in museums, all proud and stuff.
- Second Head: This one’s a bit more twisted. It’s like the horse from your nightmares, all wild-eyed and crazy. I wanted it to look like it could be either good or evil, it just depends on the day, I guess. But it’s not totally evil, just, you know, complicated.
- Third Head: I guess you could say this one is the most “real” head. It’s just a normal horse, the kind that works hard and is a good friend. This head is all about the connection between humans and horses. I made it look a bit tired because, let’s be honest, life’s tough for everyone, even horses.
Putting it all together was a real challenge. I had to make sure the three heads looked like they belonged on the same body, even though they’re so different. I played around with different styles, mixing realistic details with more abstract stuff. It took a lot of trial and error, but I finally got something that I think works.
I’m pretty stoked about how it turned out. It’s not just a drawing of a weird horse; it’s got all these layers of meaning, at least to me. And who knows, maybe it will make someone else stop and think about all the cool and crazy stories connected to these animals. Or maybe they’ll just think I’m a weirdo who draws three-headed horses, and that’s fine too.
Anyway, that’s the story behind my “3 headed horse.” It was a wild ride from start to finish, and I’m glad I stuck with it. Now, I’m off to figure out what my next project will be. Maybe a five-headed cat? Just kidding… unless?
