Alright, folks, let’s talk about getting that Enchanted Sword in Terraria. I’ve been playing this game for, like, forever, and I still remember the thrill of finding my first one. So, I figured I’d share my usual hunting routine.
First Steps: Gear Up
Before you even think about searching, you gotta be prepared. I usually make sure I have at least:
- Decent Armor: At the minimum, I am using Silver or Tungsten.
- A Solid Weapon: A broadsword with a decent swing, something that can handle a few hits.
- Potions: Always, always bring healing potions. You’re gonna get nicked, no doubt.
- Building blocks: I will explain later, but it is important.
The Hunt Begins: Where to Look
Okay, so Enchanted Swords aren’t just lying around everywhere. You gotta know where to look. I always start searching the outer two-thirds of the map, those forest. Don’t waste too much time in the center, that is not where you would find an Enchanted Sword Shrine.
I usually dig a series of “Hellevators.” You know those long, straight down shafts, I always go for the one-block wide tunnel, those are different, and in the 1.4.4 updates, those can contain an Enchanted Sword Shrine.
Look out for the Shrine
I build those hellevators and keep digging down, and at the underground layer, I connect them, so I will not miss those shrines.
See that little one-block wide tunnel? It is! Bingo, using my pickaxe and destroy the sword, and It’s mine! Most of the time, when you break it, you’ll get the real Enchanted Sword.
The Spoils of Victory
Once you’ve got that Enchanted Sword in your hands, it’s time to unleash some whoop. It shoots a little sword projectile, which is awesome for keeping enemies at bay. Early game, this thing is a beast. Later on, well, there’s better stuff, but it’s still a classic.
