Okay, so today I wanted to get into some St. Edwards football, right? Sounds simple enough, but it turned into a bit of a thing. I started off like I usually do, just poking around online to see what I could find about their schedule, recent games, you know, the usual stuff.

I figured it would be easy to find a couple of reliable websites, get the scores and highlights. But man, was I wrong. First thing I noticed was that there’s like, a bunch of different St. Edwards schools. Who knew? I had to wade through a ton of pages about high schools and colleges from all over the place before I could even figure out which one I was interested in.
Finally narrowed it down to the one I was looking for – St. Edward High School in Ohio. Seems like they’ve got a pretty decent football program. But even then, finding solid info wasn’t a walk in the park. One site had one schedule, another site had a different one, and neither of them seemed totally up to date. It was a mess.
So I thought, “Fine, I’ll just check out their social media.” You’d think a school with a big football program would have a pretty active presence online, right? Well, sort of. I found their Twitter and Facebook pages, but they weren’t exactly blowing up with updates. Lots of retweets and shares from other accounts, but not a whole lot of original content about recent games or scores. It was pretty disappointing, honestly.
I did manage to piece together a few things from a few different sources. Looks like they had a pretty good season last year. Won a bunch of games, lost a few. Nothing too crazy. Found a couple of highlight videos, but they were kind of shaky and poorly edited. Nothing like the professional stuff you see on TV. It definitely gave me a “high school football” vibe, you know?
After a couple of hours of digging, I felt like I had a basic grasp of their recent performance. But it wasn’t easy, and I definitely didn’t find as much info as I was hoping for. It really made me appreciate how easy it usually is to find sports info online. This was a real reminder that not everything is neatly organized and readily available on the internet.

Here are a few of the things I was able to figure out:
- They played a team called Archbishop Hoban.
- They had a game on September 24th.
- Their quarterback, Casey Bullock, seems to be a key player.
My Conclusion
All in all, it was a bit of a frustrating experience, but also kind of interesting. It was like doing some real detective work, trying to track down information that wasn’t just handed to me. I guess that’s the reality of local high school sports – you gotta work a little harder to stay in the loop. I guess I could try to reach the school or the coach himself, it’s just too much trouble this time. Anyway, I still hope the team will keep going and have a wonderful season!
