Alright, so, week 5 of the NFL season, huh? Time flies when you’re having fun, or, you know, sweating bullets over your survivor pool picks. I was thinking this week, I’d take you guys through my whole process, start to finish. It wasn’t pretty, but we got there.
First thing’s first, I pulled up the schedule. Man, looking at all those matchups first thing in the morning made my head spin. There’re so many games to consider, and you have to eliminate all but one. I started by crossing off the games that were clearly too close to call. You know, the ones where it’s basically a coin flip. No way I’m risking my survivor life on one of those!
Then I spent some time, staring at the remaining games. I was trying to find a team that was a heavy favorite but one that I hadn’t used yet. It’s a tough balance, right? You don’t want to waste a really good team too early, but you also don’t want to get knocked out by picking a dud.

I went back and forth on these two for what felt like hours, I even flipped a coin a few times, haha.
Finally, I just went with my gut. I picked one. I submitted my pick, and just like that, it was done. Boom. Locked in.
Now comes the hardest part: the waiting. You just gotta sit back and hope you made the right call. It’s nerve-wracking, but hey, that’s what makes it fun, right? Fingers crossed, folks. Let’s hope this is the week we all survive!
The game started, and boy, was I glued to the TV. Every play felt like it took an hour. My team was doing alright, but it was way closer than I expected. Talk about stress eating, I went through a whole bag of chips!
In the end, my team pulled it off! They won the game. Whew! That was a close one. Survived another week! Onto week 6, baby! It felt like such a relief to see them win. It confirmed that I made the right decision. Now I can start preparing for the next round of survivor pool picks.
