Okay, so today I decided to mess around with a couple of characters, “Rob” and “Big Pony,” and see if I could get them to do something… interesting. I didn’t really have a plan, just wanted to see what would happen.
Getting Started
First, I loaded up both characters. I think I got them from some online model site. I usually just grab whatever looks cool and throw them into my scene.
I made them in the initial position.
Posing and Fiddling
Then came the tedious part, that I spent lots time on it- posing. “Big Pony”, well, it’s a pony, so not too many options there. But with Rob, I wanted him to look like he was kind of interacting. So, I tweaked his arms, legs, and head, trying to get a natural-looking pose. It’s always harder than it looks, you know? You move one thing, and then something else looks off. I spent more time that make pony’s font leg more suitable.
- Spent a good amount of time, adjusting Rob’s arms and facial expression.
- Tried a few different poses for Big Pony, but mostly kept it simple.
Finishing it UP.
