PNC Highlights: Whats New and Exciting in Banking?

Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with PNC’s “Highlights” feature. I’ve been banking with PNC for a while now, and I’ve always seen that little “Highlights” tab in the online banking, but I never really dug into it. Figured it was time to change that.

PNC Highlights: Whats New and Exciting in Banking?

First, I logged into my PNC online banking. Pretty standard stuff. Username, password, the whole shebang. Once I was in, I spotted the “Highlights” tab right there on the main dashboard. It’s kinda hard to miss, actually.

I clicked on it, and it took me to a new page. Initially, it was a little overwhelming! There’s a bunch of different sections and filters, all showing different aspects of my spending and saving habits.

I started by playing around with the time filters. You can choose to see highlights from the past week, month, year, or even a custom date range. I selected “past month” to get a good overview of my recent activity.

  • The first thing that popped up was a summary of my total spending. It’s a bit sobering to see it all laid out like that, haha!
  • Then, it showed me my top spending categories. Looks like I’ve been spending a lot on groceries and eating out this month. No surprise there!
  • There was also a section on “Unusual Spending.” Apparently, I made a larger-than-usual purchase at a sporting goods store. Yep, that was that new tent I bought!
  • There’s another one call “income”,I checked this * showed my *’s useful for me.

I spent a good chunk of time just browsing through the different sections. It’s actually pretty neat to see how PNC breaks down your financial activity. It’s like having a built-in budgeting tool, without having to manually track everything.

I think I’ll definitely be using this “Highlights” feature more often. It’s a quick and easy way to stay on top of my finances and see where my money is going. It’s not perfect, and it doesn’t replace a full-fledged budgeting system, but it’s a helpful tool nonetheless! I finished my today’s test,I think it’s useful for me.
