So, I wanted to find out about the horse racing schedule in Pleasanton. I had heard they have races, but I wasn’t sure when.

I started looking around online, you know, just using a search engine to see what I could find. I found out that the fall meet at Pleasanton starts on October 19th and goes until December 15th. That’s a pretty good stretch, with 26 race days during that time. Sounds like plenty of opportunities to catch some races.
Digging Deeper
I kept digging around and found a website called Equibase, which seems to be the go-to place for horse racing results and data. I guess it’s kind of like the official source for this stuff. It had information going back a while, like all the way to 2012! I wanted to know about the results of the last races, so I went through the website to find them.
Getting Specific
I also found out that the track is at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Makes sense, I guess. Apparently, this year they’re having something called the “Golden State Racing fall meet.” Sounds fancy! I did a search to find out more about the track, the races, and the horses. They have live videos of the races. I found myself watching some of the past races, it was pretty cool.
Keeping Track of Things
- Search for “Pleasanton horse racing schedule” – This is how I started, just a simple search.
- Find the fall meet dates (Oct 19 – Dec 15) – This gave me the general timeframe.
- Discover Equibase – This is where I found all the detailed racing data.
- Learn about the location (Alameda County Fairgrounds) – Figured out where the track actually is.
- Note the “Golden State Racing fall meet” – Found out about this specific event.
- Watch race replays– I spent some time watching previous races on the website.
- Check the results – I checked the results of the last races.
It was a bit of a rabbit hole, but I found what I was looking for. Now I know when the races are, where to find results, and even a bit about the track itself. I’m thinking about going to a race sometime this fall. It seems like it would be a fun day out, and now I can do it.
