Playoffs 2012 NFL: What a Year for Football! Take a Look Back at the 2012 Playoffs.

So, I was looking into the 2012 NFL playoffs the other day. What a wild ride that season was! I started by digging up some basic info about when it all went down.

Playoffs 2012 NFL: What a Year for Football! Take a Look Back at the 2012 Playoffs.

It looks like the regular season kicked off on September 5th, 2012. Then, the playoffs got rolling on January 5th, 2013. That’s when things really heated up. I wanted to see who the big winners and standout players were, so I did some more searching.

Top Players in 2012 Season

It was a good year to see each player’s abilities. I recorded these best players as follow:

  • Robert Griffin was named the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year. Pretty impressive for a newcomer!
  • On the defensive side, Luke Kuechly snagged the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.
  • Adrian Peterson, that guy was a beast! He scored both AP Offensive Player of the Year and was the Rushing Leader.
  • And for defense, J.J. Watt took home the AP Defensive Player of the Year.
  • As for the passing game, Drew Brees led the pack with a whopping 5,177 yards.

I also looked into the standings and box scores to see how each team fared throughout the season and into the playoffs. There were definitely some surprises and upsets along the way. It seems like one of the big moments was something called the “Mile High Miracle.” I haven’t looked into that yet, but it sounds like a must-see play.

It’s always cool to look back at these past seasons and see how the league has evolved. I might dive deeper into some specific games or matchups next. It’s like a trip down memory lane, even if I wasn’t following it closely back then.
