Okay, so the other day, I was trying to figure out something fun to do with my dog, Buddy. We’re always looking for dog-friendly spots, and I remembered hearing something about the Kona Patio at Petco Park. I was like, “Wait, can you actually take your dog to a baseball game?” It sounded too good to be true, so I had to investigate.

First, I grabbed my phone and started googling. I needed to find out if this was a real thing and, if so, how it worked. I typed in “Kona Patio Petco Park dogs” and hit enter.
I found some info on the Petco Park website, but it was a bit confusing. It talked about special tickets and designated areas. I wasn’t sure if it was a regular thing or just for certain games.
Digging Deeper
So, I kept searching. I checked out some forums and fan pages, looking for anyone who had actually done this before. I wanted real experiences, not just the official stuff.
I found a couple of blog posts, not many though, it’s kinda not very famous. After reading, I figured out the process.
- You need to buy specific tickets for the Kona Patio.
- There are limited spots for dogs, so you have to book in advance.
- Your dog needs to be well-behaved and up-to-date on vaccinations.
- There are designated areas for dogs to do their business.
- And The most important, Book Early.
I booked the ticket as soon as possible since I don’t want to miss this.

After I booked the ticket. I prepared my dog food and water, leash, and some toys for buddy, and then, we finally headed to the Petco Park.
Honestly, it was an awesome experience! I got to watch the game, Buddy had a blast, and we met some other dog lovers. It’s definitely something we’ll do again.
