Okay, so today I tried to get into this “Pierre Rondo” thing. I heard some buzz about it, so I figured, why not give it a shot? I’m always up for trying new stuff, especially when it comes to music production.

First Steps: Figuring Out What It Is
First, I googled it. I found some scattered info, some forum posts, and a few videos. It seemed like some kind of technique, or maybe a compositional style? It was all a bit vague, to be honest.
The “Aha!” Moment (Sort Of)
After digging around for a bit, I realized “Pierre Rondo” is related to a specific type of compositional technique. It’s all about the structure, and how the different sections play with each other.
Experimenting
Armed with this very basic understanding, I fired up my DAW. My thought,I just started messing around.
- I picked a simple chord progression.
- Then I created a basic melody on top of it.
- I copied and pasted the different section, rearranging them.
- I added a piano part.
- I added a string part.
I just kept tweaking and moving things around until it started to sound, somewhat like the struture. I’m still not sure if I “got it” completely.

Results and Future Plans
Honestly, the result was… interesting. It definitely gave my track a different feel.I’m still playing with all the parameters.I uploaded my quick to my harddriver, so i could listen to it and try agian.
I’ll probably keep messing with this “Pierre Rondo” idea. It’s a fun way to shake things up and maybe stumble upon some cool new sounds. I’ll try to find some more resources and learn more about the specifics. I think that by next week I will try it agian.
