Hey everyone, it’s your boy here, back with another story of my daily grind. Today’s episode is a bit of a downer, titled “Packers Failed Rebrand”. Yeah, it didn’t go as planned, let me tell you.

So, I started my day pumped up. I was working on this rebranding project for the Green Bay Packers. I mean, they clinched an NFC postseason berth a couple of weeks back after beating the New Orleans Saints, so I thought, why not give them a fresh look? They hadn’t changed their logo since 1937 when they were still with Acme Packaging, so it felt like the right time, you know?
I dove into it, sketching, brainstorming, trying to come up with something cool and modern. I spent hours tweaking designs, playing with colors, trying to capture the spirit of the team. They had this killer streak of 11 straight wins against the Chicago Bears, their biggest rival since 1921! I wanted to make something that reflected that dominance, that winning energy. I was really feeling it, imagining the fans going wild for the new look.
But, man, it all went south. I hit a wall. Nothing I came up with seemed to click. I kept going back to the drawing board, but every iteration just felt off. I even tried using some of the stuff from their history. Like, remember when Aaron Rodgers told everyone to relax? I thought I could use that vibe, but nope. Didn’t work.
Then there was that game against the Minnesota Vikings. They lost, even after a crazy comeback in the fourth quarter. That just added to the frustration. I was like, if they can’t pull off a win, how am I supposed to pull off this rebrand? It felt like a bad sign, you know?
And it wasn’t just the designs, the whole concept started to crumble. I started questioning everything. Was it even the right time for a rebrand? Were they just not meant to change? It felt like I was trying to force something that wasn’t meant to be. It was like that time when Dontayvion Wicks messed up that third-and-1 conversion because of an illegal formation. So close, yet so far.

After hours of struggle and a whole lot of crumpled-up papers, I had to admit defeat. The rebrand was a no-go. It felt like when the Packers failed to put the right pieces around their star quarterbacks to help them win. Like all that potential just wasted. I was bummed, to say the least. I mean, Aaron Rodgers once described a bad performance as “s—ty”, and that’s exactly how I felt about my work that day. Just pure s—ty. The whole thing was a mess, just like the recent loss to the Vikings. I ended up throwing in the towel.
So, yeah, that’s my story of a failed rebrand. It’s not all victories and successes, guys. Sometimes, you just gotta accept that things don’t work out, learn from it, and move on. That’s what I’m trying to do now. On to the next project, I guess.
