Okay, so, let me tell you about this wild ride I had with the NBA’s new In-Season Tournament, especially with those crazy courts the Pacers were playing on. I was totally stoked when I heard about the tournament. I mean, a tournament in the middle of the regular season? That’s something new, right?
So, the first thing I did was check when the Pacers were playing. I saw they were gonna be in the first-ever tournament game. I got excited, you know? Like, history in the making and all that stuff. They were up against the Cavaliers, and it was a Group A game in the Eastern Conference. The game was a blast to watch, high energy, super competitive. It was a good time.
Then, I found out the Pacers were getting a special court for these tournament games. I was all over it, trying to see what it looked like. They called it an “alternative home court” or something. And then, there it was, I finally got a glimpse, it was bold, colorful, definitely different from the regular court.
I watched more games, saw the Pacers advance, and I followed them all the way to the knockout rounds. I was talking about it with my buddies, placing bets, and getting all hyped up. I mean, they were the first team to advance! The games were intense, especially that one against Boston. They forced so many turnovers, I was on the edge of my seat, the whole time.
And Tyrese Haliburton, man, that guy was on fire! He was killing it in every game, dishing out assists, scoring like crazy. I was like, “This guy’s gonna take them all the way!” And Myles Turner, too, he was a beast. They make a good team, it’s fun to watch them play.
Then came the game against the Bucks. It was for a spot in the championship game. I was nervous, I won’t lie. But the Pacers, they played their hearts out. Haliburton and Turner led the charge, and they won! I was jumping up and down, yelling at the TV, I must’ve looked like a crazy person, haha.
The Final Game
So, they made it to the finals, against the Lakers. The first-ever In-Season Tournament Championship, can you believe it? Anthony Davis was a monster in that game, no doubt. The Pacers fought hard, but the Lakers, they were just too much.

It was a bit of a bummer, but still, it was an amazing experience. I’m definitely looking forward to the next tournament. It’s a cool new thing the NBA’s doing, and I’m all for it. Plus, those courts, they really add something special to the games. I loved watching them play on that court. I might even get a jersey, maybe Haliburton’s or something. And you can bet I’ll be there, watching every game, next time around!
