Today, I wanna talk about this Mystic Force Curtain in Baldur’s Gate 3. You know, it’s been driving me nuts. I’ve been trying to get past it into Raphael’s Boudoir. I heard there’s a pool in there that can fully restore your HP, spell slots, and all that, like a full long rest. Sounds sweet, right?

So, first, I headed to Raphael’s Archive room, cause I read somewhere that’s where you start. When I got there, this Archivist guy was hanging around. I tried to sweet-talk him, but he’s a tough nut to crack. I figured, maybe if I pretended to be some big shot, a Zariel Inquisitor, I could get full access to the Archive. Worth a shot, right?
I put on my best act, and guess what? It worked! I got the invitation to enter the Boudoir. Man, that felt good. Now I could finally pass through that darn Mystic Force Curtain.
But, just getting through the curtain wasn’t enough. I had to deal with some traps. So I sent in my character with the strongest ranged attack. Chain Lightning, to be precise. I thought that would do the trick, and it did! The Force Curtain and the traps were gone in a flash.
- Step 1: Go to Raphael’s Archive.
- Step 2: Impersonate a Zariel Inquisitor to get the invitation from the Archivist.
- Step 3: Use a powerful ranged attack, like Chain Lightning, to destroy the Force Curtain and traps.
Once I got past all that, I found the pool. Just like I heard, it restored everything. I was feeling like a new man. But then, this incubus named Haarlep showed up. He had a key, and I figured it was important.
Now, there was this painting that looked kinda suspicious. I disarmed it, just in case, and found a button behind it. I pressed the button, and boom, a safe appeared. I used Haarlep’s key to open it, and inside was a note with some magic words.

The Final Steps
These magic words were the key to accessing the contract or the Orphic Hammer. I’m not gonna lie; it took some trial and error to figure out what to do with them. But in the end, I got what I was after.
So, that’s how I got past the Mystic Force Curtain in Baldur’s Gate 3. It was a real adventure, with a bit of trickery, some strong attacks, and a lot of exploring. But hey, that’s what makes the game fun, right? Hope this helps you guys out if you’re stuck on the same part. Later!
