Okay, so today I tried to finish this “Diamond in the Rough” quest in Dreamlight Valley. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. First off, you gotta have that “A Rift in Time” expansion pack. No pack, no quest, simple as that.
So, I started by talking to Gaston. You know, that buff dude from Beauty and the Beast? Yeah, him. After I’d already helped him out with that “Wild Tangle’s Swarm” quest, this “Diamond in the Rough” thing popped up. The first real step was messing around with this Power Coil. I found it just lying on the ground. I picked it up and slotted it into this receptacle thingy. Boom! New beams of light all over the place. It felt like I was in some kind of sci-fi movie or something.
Next, I ran back to this lever near Jafar’s Hologram Station. I pulled it, and those light beams I just made? They shifted around, and this big gate opened up. Pretty cool, huh? It was like magic, but with, you know, technology.
- Find and pick up the Power Coil.
- Put the Power Coil into the receptacle.
- Go back to the lever near Jafar’s Hologram Station.
- Pull the lever to redirect the light beams.
Now, the whole point of this quest, at least one part, is to find diamonds. I learned these are mainly in the Forgotten Lands. So, I grabbed my pickaxe and started mining those gem rocks. It took a while, but I finally got some diamonds. They’re these white-colored gems, pretty but a pain to get.
Finding the Cave of Wonders
But that wasn’t all. There’s this Scarab thing that leads you to the Cave of Wonders. This cave is in The Wastes, which is part of the Glittering Dunes biome on Eternity Isle. I trekked over to The Wastes, and in the northwestern part, I found the cave. It was a bit of a hike, but hey, what’s an adventure without a little walking, right?
So yeah, that’s basically how I tackled the “Diamond in the Rough” quest. It was a mix of figuring out puzzles, mining for gems, and exploring new areas. If you’re playing Dreamlight Valley and get stuck, hopefully, my little adventure here helps you out. Happy gaming!
