Need a Valorant Name Change? (Heres the Simple Guide for Gamers)

Hey everyone, it’s your boy here, back with another one of my little adventures in the gaming world. Today’s topic? Changing my name in Valorant. Yeah, you heard that right. I’ve been rocking the same old name for a while now, and I figured it was time for a change. So, I dove in, and let me tell you, it was quite the ride. I’m here to share every bit of that journey with you all.

Need a Valorant Name Change? (Heres the Simple Guide for Gamers)

First things first, I fired up my PC and got ready. Initially, I thought I could just hop into Valorant and change it in the settings or something. But nope, that wasn’t the case. I scratched my head for a moment, thinking, “Alright, how do I do this?”

So, I started by opening up my browser and went straight to the Riot Games website. That’s where the magic happens, apparently. Once I got there, I logged into my account. Made sure it was the right one, you know, didn’t want to accidentally change some other poor soul’s name.

After logging in, I clicked around a bit, trying to find where I could change my display name. It wasn’t super obvious at first, but I found it. There’s a spot where you can edit your Riot ID and tagline. That’s what shows up in Valorant. “Easy enough,” I thought.

I typed in my new name, something fresh and cool. Felt good. Then I noticed the tagline. “Hmm, what should I put here?” I pondered for a bit. Ended up putting something witty, I think. We’ll see if it sticks.

Once I had my new name and tagline all set, I hit save. Boom, done. But then, a little message popped up. It said something about not being able to change my name again for 30 days. “30 days?” I was a little surprised, I won’t lie. I mean, what if I don’t like this name? Or what if I come up with something even better? I guess I’ll just have to live with it for a month.

There was also something about making sure my name didn’t have any personal info in it, like my real name or address. Makes sense, gotta keep that stuff private. And apparently, you can’t pretend to be an eSports pro either. Not that I was planning to, but good to know.

After making the change, I jumped into Valorant to see my new name in action. There it was, looking all shiny and new. It felt weird at first, but in a good way. Like a fresh start or something. I played a few games, and it started to grow on me.

So, that’s my story of changing my Valorant name. It was a bit of a process, but I got it done. Now, I’m stuck with this name for a month. Let’s hope I don’t regret it! If any of you are thinking about changing your name, just remember the 30-day rule. And make sure it’s something you’re going to be happy with, at least for a little while. Also, keep your personal info out of it, and don’t try to be someone you’re not. That’s my advice, from one gamer to another. Game on, folks!
