Okay, so yesterday I was messing around trying to catch up on some NBA action. You know, life gets busy and sometimes you miss the games live. So, I set out to find some decent highlights. Here’s what I did:

First thing, I fired up YouTube. Obvious choice, right? I typed in “nba games yesterday highlights”. Pretty straightforward.
Loads of results popped up. A ton of different channels posting highlights. ESPN, NBA’s official channel, some smaller sports channels, you name it.
I started clicking around. The ESPN ones are usually pretty good quality, but sometimes they’re just quick recaps. I wanted something a little more in-depth. So, I skipped past the really short ones.
I landed on one from the NBA channel that looked promising. It was labeled “Yesterday’s Top 10 Plays” or something like that. Perfect!
- Watched the whole thing. Some crazy dunks, buzzer-beaters, the usual NBA highlight reel stuff. Good stuff.
- Then I started searching for specific games. Like, I knew the Lakers played, so I searched “Lakers game yesterday highlights”.
This time, I found some fan-made highlight videos. These can be hit or miss. Some are just shaky camera footage from someone in the stands, but others are surprisingly well-edited.

I found one that was actually pretty decent. Good angles, clear shots, showed all the key moments of the game. It was a little longer, like 15 minutes, but worth it to see the full story of the game.
The Trick I Learned
Here’s a little tip I picked up: Sort the search results by “Upload date”. This makes sure you’re seeing the most recent highlights first. Otherwise, you might end up watching stuff from weeks ago. Duh, right? But I didn’t think of it at first!
After YouTube, I checked out some sports news websites like Bleacher Report and ESPN’s website. They usually have highlight reels embedded in their game recaps. These are usually shorter and more focused on the key plays, so it’s a good way to quickly catch up.
Finally, I asked my buddy who’s a huge NBA fan if he saw any good highlights. He sent me a link to a Twitter account that posts real-time clips during the games. These aren’t exactly “yesterday’s highlights,” but it’s a great way to stay in the loop if you can’t watch the games live. I save that for next time.
So yeah, that was my deep dive into yesterday’s NBA highlights. A lot of clicking around, some trial and error, but eventually I found what I was looking for. Always a fun way to spend an evening, catching up on the game!
