Okay, so, I wanted to mess around with this “Bad Parenting 1: Mr. Red Face” game, see what it’s all about. Heard some messed up things about it, you know? So, I fired it up.

The whole thing’s about this dude, Ron, and his messed-up family life. And then there’s this Mr. Red Face guy, who’s like, some kind of made-up boogeyman parents tell their kids about. Supposed to give presents to good kids, but in this game, it’s way darker.
Started playing, and man, it’s heavy. You walk around these weird environments that are all messed up, supposed to be like, Ron’s messed-up head or something. Symbolic, you know?
The game really gets into the whole abusive dad thing. Mr. Red Face, or Bruce, whatever you want to call him, he’s a real piece of work. Drinks too much, takes it out on his wife, Robin. It’s rough to watch, honestly.
- First, I explored around. There were a few different areas to check out.
- Then, there were some puzzles to figure out. Nothing too crazy, but it kept me busy.
- And, the story started unfolding. Found out more about Ron and his messed-up home life.
The Climax
The worst part, though? You see Mr. Red Face… kill Ron. Like, straight-up strangles him. It’s messed up, man. The whole thing is supposed to show how messed up Ron’s life was, and how his dad was the monster all along. I made Ron walk with his dad into his room and watched his dad strangle him in his own bed and broke his neck. It is shocking.
I finished the game, but it stuck with me. It’s not a long game, but it’s intense. Makes you think about all the messed-up stuff that goes on behind closed doors, you know? Kind of makes you appreciate a normal family, if you’ve got one. That’s all there is to it. Pretty heavy stuff for a video game, huh?
