Alright, so I finally decided to dive into this whole “moonmoon nopixel” thing. I’d seen clips, heard people talk about it, but never actually gave it a shot myself. Figured it was time to see what all the fuss was about.

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to figure out what I even needed. Turns out, you gotta have GTA V, of course, and then this thing called FiveM. Downloaded both of those – took a bit, my internet’s not the fastest. Then, finding the moonmoon server itself. That was a bit of a hunt, digging through forums and Discord channels. Eventually, I found the right info and got myself whitelisted. I have submit applications and wait a while for passing the check.
The First Few Hours… Oof
Man, jumping in was… chaotic. I spawned in, had absolutely no clue what I was doing. I spent, like, the first hour just running around, bumping into people, trying to figure out the basic controls. Got yelled at a few times, accidentally punched someone, ended up in jail. Good times. It’s really a mess at the time when I was a newbie.
Learning the Ropes (Slowly)
After a while, I started to get the hang of things. I watched other people, asked some (probably dumb) questions, and slowly started to understand the basics of roleplaying. I created a character – a somewhat clumsy, overly-enthusiastic dude named, uh, “Bob.” Don’t judge.
- Figured out how to get a job – became a garbage man. Glamorous, I know.
- Earned some (very little) money.
- Bought a beat-up old car.
- Mostly avoided getting arrested again.
Actually Having Fun
Once I got past the initial confusion, it actually became pretty fun. The interactions with other players were hilarious, the random situations that popped up were wild, and I even managed to pull off a few (very minor) heists with some other folks. I began to like the process of getting along with others I have never seen before.
Still a Noob, But…
I’m still a complete noob, don’t get me wrong. I’m pretty sure I’m breaking some unwritten rules, my roleplaying is probably cringey, and I still get lost all the time. But, I gotta say, I get the appeal now. It’s a weird, messy, and surprisingly engaging experience. I think Bob and i will be spending a little more time in Los Santos(The city’s name in GTA V), after doing more practice and getting familar with the settings in the game. It’s quite worth expecting.
