Okay, so, let me tell you about this whole Miles Russell tee time thing. I’ve been following this kid for a while now, he’s a 15-year-old golf phenom, and let me tell you, he’s got skills! I mean, seriously, he’s been making waves in the junior golf scene. I first heard about him when he was playing on the Korn Ferry Tour, which is like the minor leagues for golf.
I saw that he actually made the cut there, which is nuts for someone his age. He became the youngest player to make the cut on the Korn Ferry Tour. So I started to follow him more closely. I watched some of his videos, and I was impressed.
Then, I got wind of this news that he’s gonna play in the Rocket Mortgage Classic, a real PGA TOUR event! I thought, “Wow, this is huge!” I mean, it’s not every day a 15-year-old gets a sponsor exemption to play with the big boys. I got so excited and tried to keep track of his performance.
I checked the tee times, and I saw he was scheduled to tee off at 3:43 p.m. on Thursday. I made a note of it on my calendar and set a reminder on my phone. I did not want to miss it.
- First, I made sure I knew where he was playing – the Texas Rangers Golf Club in Arlington, Texas.
- Then, I found out where I could watch it on TV or online.
The day finally came, and I watched him play. I cheered for him at every hole. Even though he was up against some of the best players in the world, he held his own. It was awesome to watch him out there, and I was so proud of how he performed. He even finished 20th place!
Honestly, following this kid’s journey has been a wild ride. Watching him go from dominating the junior circuits to holding his own on the Korn Ferry Tour and now playing in a PGA TOUR event, it’s been quite something. I just had to share this with you all because it’s a big deal. It also reminds me to never give up on our dreams no matter how young we are.
