Alright, guys, so I’ve been wanting to see what my Ducati 848 EVO could really do for a while now. I mean, the numbers are out there, but it’s different to actually experience it yourself, you know?

Prepping for the Run
First things first, safety. I’m not about to do anything stupid. I picked a stretch of deserted road – early morning, nobody around. Checked my tires, tire pressure, brakes… everything. Made sure the bike was in top shape. I also geared up properly – full leathers, boots, gloves, and a good helmet. Can’t be too careful.
The First Few Attempts
- Attempt 1: Got a bit of a shaky start. The wind was a little stronger than I expected. I hit a decent speed, but backed off earlier than I wanted. Felt the front end get a little light, which was a bit unnerving.
- Attempt 2: This time, I tucked in a bit more, tried to be smoother with the throttle. Definitely felt faster. The bike just pulls like a freight train. Kept it pinned for longer this time, but still wasn’t pushing it to the absolute max.
Going All-Out
Okay, so after a couple of warm-up runs, I felt ready. I took a deep breath, made sure the road was completely clear, and just went for it. I tucked in as tight as I could, held the throttle wide open. The acceleration is insane – it just keeps pulling and pulling. The wind noise was crazy, even with earplugs.
I didn’t look on my speed, but I saw that I was in sixth gear, the engine was screaming, and the bike felt rock solid, surprisingly. I held it there for as long as I dared, then slowly rolled off the throttle and let the engine braking do its thing.
The Result (Sort Of)
I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t keep my eye on the speedo the whole time. I was focused on the road. After I slowed down, the bike felt great. I was buzzing. It’s an incredible machine, no doubt about it.
Did I hit the absolute top speed? I’m honestly not sure. I feel like I got pretty close, though. It was definitely the fastest I’ve ever gone on it, and maybe the fastest I’ve ever gone, period. It was a rush!

I think my record shoud be very very closed to the top speed of Ducati 848 evo!
It was a great feeling!
