Okay, so I wanted to mess around with this “Matt Camp” thing I’d heard a bit about. I’m not a super techy person, but I like trying new stuff, you know? So, here’s how it went down.

First, I had to, like, find the thing. I just Googled it, honestly. Found some website that looked official-ish, and it had a bunch of instructions. Seemed complicated at first, lots of steps.
Getting Started
I needed to install something called * first. Never heard of it before, but apparently, it’s needed to run this Matt Camp stuff. The website had a download link, so I clicked it, installed it. Pretty standard “next, next, finish” type of deal.
Setting it Up
- Figured out the commands to create a new project.
- The instructions were alright, but I had to read them, like, three times to get it.
- Ran some command in the terminal (that black box with the white text, kinda scary).
- It churned for a bit, downloaded a bunch of stuff.
Then, I had to open this new project folder in… something. It was called VS Code. A text editor, apparently. I’ve used Notepad before, but this was way fancier. Lots of colors and stuff.
The Messy Part
Okay, this is where I started to get a little lost. There were all these files and folders, and I had no idea what any of them did. I followed the tutorial, tried to change some text in one of the files, saved it.
- Ran another command in the terminal, something like “start” or “run,” I can’t remember exactly.
- My web browser popped open automatically, and… boom! There was my text, on a webpage! It worked!
Feeling Like a Hacker
Honestly, I felt pretty cool at this point. Like, I made a webpage. From scratch! (Well, sort of. With a lot of help.) I played around with it some more, changed some colors, added some images. It was pretty basic, but it was mine.

So, yeah, that’s my Matt Camp adventure. It was a bit confusing at times, and I definitely don’t understand everything, but I actually made something. Maybe I’ll mess with it more later. It’s kinda fun, once you get past the scary terminal stuff.
If i did this, you also can do that!
