So, I heard about the Masters Tournament, and I was like, “I gotta get in on this action and make some predictions!” I’m no expert, but hey, it sounded like a fun project. I’m a total newbie when it comes to golf, but I figured, why not give it a shot?

First things first, I needed to figure out what the weather was gonna be like. I mean, that’s gotta play a big role, right? So, I started digging around to find the forecast. I found this website that had a day-by-day breakdown. It said something like, “Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a 90% chance of showers and thunderstorms.” Man, that sounds rough!
Weather Check – That’s a Big Deal
- I looked up the weather for each day of the tournament.
- Sunday, the final day, was supposed to be hot, like 85 degrees hot.
- And it was gonna be windy, too, about 5-10 mph winds.
After getting a handle on the weather, I realized I needed to know who was even playing in this thing! It mentioned something about Mario Golf, I have no idea what is that, it’s probably some kind of a game? But after some more looking around, I had to do some digging to find a list of players.
Then came the fun part – making predictions! Okay, maybe “fun” isn’t the right word. It was more like throwing darts in the dark. I mean, I don’t know these golfers from Adam! But I went with my gut, picked some names that sounded cool, and made my predictions.
My Wild Guesses
- I made a list of players I thought might do well.
- Completely based on nothing, just random picks.
- I did it, I really did it. But I guess we will see if I did it right in a couple of days.
Finally, I decided to put it on paper, well, on a spreadsheet, actually. I made this whole spreadsheet with the players’ names, my predictions, and even some notes about the weather. I felt like a real pro, even though I was just making it up as I went along.

So, there you have it. That’s how I, a total amateur, attempted to forecast the 2024 Masters. Will my predictions be anywhere close? Probably not! But hey, it was a fun experiment, and I learned a little something about golf along the way. Maybe next year, I’ll actually know what I’m doing. Or maybe not! We will see.
