Marvel Rivals Models Datamined: Check Out the Latest Character List!

Okay, so I stumbled upon this thing about datamined models from Marvel Rivals, and I just had to dig in. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a ride, but totally worth it. Here’s how it all went down.

First Steps: Finding the Goods

First, I needed to find the actual datamined files. I did some searching and I found the files I needed.

Getting the Tools Ready

Next up, I needed the right tools. I knew I’d need something to view and mess with 3D models. I downloaded:

  • Blender: Because it’s awesome and free, and I use it for everything 3D-related.
  • Some random model converter: I had to get a file format that Blender could actually read. I ended up with some .obj files after conversion.

Diving into Blender

With everything set up, I fired up Blender and imported one of those .obj files. And boom! There it was, a low-poly, somewhat rough-looking model. But hey, it was a character model straight from the game files!

The Fun Part: Exploring!

Now for the fun part – I spent a good chunk of time just rotating, zooming, and checking out the model from every angle. I poked around at the different parts, looked at the textures (which were also pretty low-res, naturally). It was like being a digital archaeologist, uncovering hidden treasures.

I imported a bunch of other models too. It’s pretty cool to see the characters before they get all polished up for the final game. Some of them looked pretty different from what I expected!

Sharing the Discovery

Of course, I had to share my findings with people! I messed around, finally get the images and uploaded to my blog, it was very intersting.

So yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of datamined Marvel Rivals models. It’s not exactly rocket science, but it’s a fun way to peek behind the curtain and see how these games are put together. I feel like I got a sneak peek at something special, even if it was just a bunch of blocky, untextured characters. Totally worth the afternoon!
