Okay, so I saw this thing online about Mariah Carey in Fortnite, and I was like, “What the heck is that all about?” I’m not a huge gamer, but I do dabble in Fortnite sometimes with my kids, and, well, Mariah is Mariah, right? So, I decided to jump in and see what this was all about.
First, I booted up Fortnite. Easy enough. I had to make sure the game was updated, you know, all those patches and stuff. It took a bit, my internet’s not the fastest, but whatever.
Digging Around
Once I was in, I started poking around in the Item Shop. That’s usually where all the new skins and emotes and stuff show up. I scrolled and scrolled and scrolled…nothing. Hmmm. Maybe I was doing it wrong?
I went to the News section, thinking maybe there’d be an announcement or something. Nope. Nothing about Mariah. I was starting to think this whole thing was a hoax, some internet rumor, you know?
Then, I checked out the different game modes. Maybe it was some special limited-time event? I looked at Battle Royale, Creative, Save the World…still nothing that screamed “Mariah Carey.”
Confused and tired, I checked out.

So, yeah, that was my “adventure” trying to find Mariah Carey in Fortnite. Turns out, it might not even be a real thing. Or maybe I just completely missed it. If anyone out there knows what’s up, let me know! I’m still kinda curious, even if I did waste an hour searching for something that might not exist.
