Okay, so the NBA preseason is coming up, and like every year, I got this itch to try and predict how things will go down. It’s like a yearly tradition for me now, trying to guess what’s gonna happen with my favorite teams and players. This time, I really wanted to get into it, so I started gathering all sorts of info. You know, stats from last season, who got traded where, who’s injured, all that good stuff. I spent hours on this, checking out team rosters, reading what all these so-called experts were saying, and even looking at how teams did in previous preseasons.
Then came the fun part – making the actual predictions. I decided to do this properly. First I made a list of things that seemed important to predict and got these on a list:
- Who’s gonna be the top scorer?
- Which teams will surprise everyone?
- Which players are likely to improve the most?
I started writing down my predictions, one by one. It wasn’t just about picking who’s going to win or lose. I tried to think about the bigger picture. Like, which teams are gonna shake things up in the league? Who’s gonna be the breakout star? It felt like piecing together a puzzle, a really exciting one. I used different resources to guide my predictions. These resources gave me different things I could focus on like:
- shooting %
- three-point %
- points per game
- points allowed per game
- offensive rating
- defensive rating
After I had all my predictions written down, I felt pretty good about them. It was a mix of what I’ve seen in the past, what the stats were saying, and a bit of my own gut feeling. I shared them with some friends who are also big NBA fans, and we had a blast discussing our different takes. Some agreed with me, some thought I was way off, but that’s the fun of it, right? We even made some friendly bets on our predictions. Nothing serious, just bragging rights, but it made things even more interesting.
I know these are just predictions, and anything can happen in the NBA. That’s part of why I love it. But going through this whole process, diving deep into the stats and all, it just made me even more excited for the season to start. I can’t wait to see which of my predictions turn out to be right, and which ones are totally off. Either way, it’s gonna be a great season, and I’m all in.
