Okay, so yesterday I decided to dive into this whole “love admiration” thing. I’ve been seeing it all over social media, and, well, I wanted to see what the fuss was about. So, I started by just, you know, thinking about it. What does it really mean to show love and admiration?

First, I figured I’d start with my partner. I thought, “What can I do to really show them how much I care?” It’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind, right? So I decided to go old-school. I wrote them a letter. Yep, a real, handwritten letter.
- I grabbed some nice paper (not just any old printer paper!).
- I found a quiet spot in the house.
- I just started writing. I told them all the things I appreciate about them, big and small.
The Writing Process
It was actually harder than I thought! It’s not easy putting those feelings into words, you know? But I pushed through. I talked about their laugh, their kindness, the way they always know how to make me feel better. It felt good to get it all out.
Then, I decided to extend this to my family. I called my mom, just to chat. No special reason, just to tell her I was thinking about her and appreciated all she’s done for me. We ended up talking for over an hour! It was awesome.
The Reactions
I slipped the letter under my partner’s pillow. When they found it, their face totally lit up. We had a really good, long hug. Seriously, it felt like a weight had been lifted. And my mom? She was so touched by the call. She said it made her entire week.
So, yeah, that was my little experiment with “love admiration”. It wasn’t some grand gesture, but it felt really meaningful. I realized it’s not about big, showy things. It’s about the small, sincere acts of appreciation. I’m definitely going to try to do this more often. It just makes everyone feel good, myself included.
