Okay, so today I was messing around in Street Fighter 6’s World Tour mode. I was thinking about how to get close to those NPCs, you know? Make some in-game buddies. Turns out, the way to do it is through gifts! Just like real life, right?
So I did some digging. This is important, cause not every gift works on everyone. You gotta pick the right thing for the right person. And where do you get these gifts? Most of the time, from merchants scattered all over the place. Some are easy to find, others not so much.
First, I started checking out the merchants in Metro City. This one dude in the main square, he’s got a bunch of stuff. I grabbed a few things that looked kinda neat, just to test the waters. Like, I bought a Prepaid Card, thinking maybe someone would find it useful. I also got this Red Elevator 8 thingy cause why not? And a Wooden Bear, that’s classic right?
My Gift Giving Journey
- Luke: This guy’s a main character, so I figured he’d be easy. I gave him that Red Elevator 8, and bam! His bond level went up. Seems like he’s into those, whatever they are.
- Chun-Li: Okay, for her, I thought something traditional. So I tracked down a merchant in Chinatown – turns out, he’s kinda hidden away – and bought some Canned Herring. Gave it to her, and she seemed to dig it. Bond level increased!
- Marisa: With Marisa, I wanted to play on her being a jewelry designer. I went back to that first merchant and got her some Beaujolais. It did the job, she liked it!
- Manon: She’s a model right? So for her, I was lucky to find some Beauty Mirror and it seems to make her happy.
- Dee Jay: Now, this guy was a bit tricky. I gave him a Prepaid Card and this is not working on him. So I guess I need to find another good gift for him.
- Lily: For Lily, I tried that Wooden Bear. No dice. She didn’t really care for it. So she’s another one I gotta figure out.
So yeah, that’s what I’ve been up to in World Tour. It’s a whole process, figuring out who likes what. I still have a bunch of characters to go through. Like, I haven’t even found a good gift for Blanka or Ken yet. I tried giving Blanka-chan that Wooden Bear, but he wasn’t interested. And for Ken, I gave the Prepaid Card, but that didn’t work either. I’ll have to keep experimenting.
Honestly, it’s kinda fun running around, buying random stuff, and seeing if these tough fighters appreciate my gifts. It’s a nice change of pace from all the brawling. I’ll keep you guys updated on what other gifts work. Maybe I’ll make a full guide once I figure it all out. It’s a work in progress, but hey, that’s what makes it interesting, right?
