Okay, so I’ve been trying to get this “SAC Golf” thing working, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I started with absolutely zero clue what I was doing, just a vague idea and a bunch of tutorials.

The Initial Fumble
First, I had to even figure out what software to use. I mean, there are tons of options, right? After some digging around and asking some more experienced folks, I decided to go with this particular * seemed like the most straightforward for a beginner, and, honestly, I was already feeling overwhelmed.
Setting Everything Up
Downloading and installing everything was the next hurdle. The instructions were, well, let’s just say they weren’t written for dummies like me. I messed up a couple of times, had to uninstall and reinstall, and generally felt like I was wrestling an octopus.
- First try: Failed. I put the files in the wrong place.
- Second try: Still failed. Missed a crucial dependency.
- Third try: I had to watch the teaching video repeatly…I made it work!
The First “Swing”
Finally, I got everything running. Time to actually try this SAC Golf thing. I loaded up a basic example, clicked “run,” and… nothing. Just a blank screen. Great. Back to the drawing board.
Turns out, I had a tiny little error in my config file. One wrong number, and the whole thing refused to cooperate. Who knew computers were so picky?
Tweaking and Tuning
After fixing that, I finally got something to show up! It wasn’t pretty, but it was progress. Then came the long, slow process of tweaking parameters. I felt like a mad scientist, adjusting this and that, trying to get the thing to behave the way I wanted.

- Changed this setting: Nope, made it worse.
- Tried a different value: Slightly better, but still not quite right.
- Read some more documentation: Ah, I see, I misunderstood that part.
- Made the adjustment:YES!
Success (Sort Of)
Eventually, after hours of trial and error, I managed to get something that looked like it was working. I watched the training process for many time. It still isn’t perfect, but it’s a huge improvement from where I started. I’m actually kind of proud of myself for sticking with it.
So, that’s my SAC Golf story so far. It’s been frustrating, rewarding, and definitely a learning experience. I’m still figuring things out, but I’m excited to see where it goes from here. And I can tell you, this whole thing is way harder than it looks!
