Looking for Commanders Topgolf deals, see here now!

Alright, so I finally checked out that Commanders Topgolf event thing. Honestly, I’d heard some buzz, but I’m not a huge football guy, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Figured it’d be a good time, though, and I’m always up for trying something new.

First things first, I grabbed my tickets online. Pretty standard process, nothing too crazy there. I opted for the general admission, because, well, I wasn’t about to shell out for some fancy VIP experience. I’m there for the fun, not the frills, you know?

Getting There and Getting Started

I drove over to the Topgolf in [Insert Location – I assume National Harbor, but making it generic], and parking was a bit of a mess, ngl. Lots of people, all trying to get to the same place. But hey, that’s expected at these kinds of events. Once I finally found a spot, I headed inside.

Checked in, got my wristband, and made my way to the bays. It was pretty packed, but I managed to snag a spot with a few other people. They were cool, thankfully. We all introduced ourselves, did the usual small talk, and then got down to business: hitting some golf balls.

The Experience

I’m no pro golfer, not even close. But Topgolf is fun regardless of your skill level. They’ve got those different games you can play, where you’re aiming for targets and stuff. I mostly just tried to hit the ball straight, which, let me tell you, is harder than it looks.

  • We took turns swinging.
  • We cheered each other on (even when the shots were, uh, less than stellar).
  • We chatted about random stuff, not just football.

The Commanders players were there, walking around, taking pictures, and even hitting some balls themselves. I didn’t try to bother them, but it was cool to see them just hanging out and having a good time. There was a good vibe, you know? Everyone was just there to have fun.

Food and Drinks is Necessary

They had food and drinks available, of course. Typical bar food type stuff: burgers, fries, nachos. I grabbed a burger and a beer. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot. It’s not a gourmet dining experience, but it is what it is. It’s TopGolf.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I had a good time. It was a fun way to spend a few hours. Would I go again? Yeah, probably. It wasn’t the most mind-blowing event ever, but it was a solid, enjoyable experience. If you’re looking for something a little different to do, and you’re even remotely interested in the Commanders or golf, it’s worth checking out.

I didn’t become a die-hard football fan overnight or anything, but I definitely appreciated the laid-back atmosphere and the chance to do something different. I even improved my swing a little… maybe.
