Okay, folks, let’s dive into my little project today – making a LA Dodgers blanket! I’m not the craftiest person, but I’m a huge Dodgers fan, and I really wanted something cozy and unique for game nights.

Getting Started
First, I brainstormed. Did I want a simple fleece blanket? Something knitted? Maybe a patchwork quilt? I quickly realized knitting was way beyond my skill level. Patchwork seemed cool but time-consuming. So, fleece it was!
Gathering Supplies
Next up, a trip to the fabric store! This was the fun part. I looked for that perfect Dodgers blue fleece – not too dark, not too light. And, of course, I needed some white fleece for contrast. I also grabbed:
- Scissors (fabric scissors, specifically – gotta have those!)
- A ruler or measuring tape
- Pins (lots of them!)
- Optional: Some fabric glue, just in case.
The Cutting Phase
Back home, I spread everything out on my living room floor. I am sure It’s Measurement time.I measured out two large rectangles of the blue fleece – these would be the front and back of the blanket. I wanted it big enough to really snuggle under, so I went for about 60×72 inches each.
Then, I started cutting the white fleece. I decided to go with simple stripes. I have completed it.

Putting It Together
Now for the slightly tricky part. I carefully laid one blue rectangle on the floor, right-side *, I positioned and pinned the white strips on it.
With everything pinned, I carefully flipped the whole thing over and laid the second blue rectangle on top, right-side down (so the right sides of the blue fleece were facing each other). I pinned all around the edges, leaving a small opening to turn it right-side out later.
Finishing Touches
Almost done! I carefully pulled the blanket right-side out through the opening I’d left. Then, I neatly folded the edges of the opening inward and pinned them shut.
And… that’s it! My very own, super comfy LA Dodgers fleece blanket. It’s not perfect, the stripes might be a little wonky in places, but I made it, and that’s what counts. Now I’m all set for those chilly game nights. Go Dodgers!
