Okay, so I was looking into this whole K-PAX thing. Not the movie, but like, what’s on the TV station, you know? So, first off, I tried to figure out what’s playing on KPAX 8.

I found this site that had the listings, but honestly, it was kind of a mess. I just wanted to know what was on that night, but it felt like I was digging through a bunch of stuff I didn’t need. Eventually, I got to the schedule, but it wasn’t as straightforward as I’d hoped.
Then I thought, “Maybe there’s an HD version, like, KPAX HDTV.” So, I searched for that, and yeah, there was another guide, but it felt like the same deal as before. Lots of extra stuff around the edges, and I just wanted the schedule, plain and simple.
Here’s what I did next
- Searched for CBS KPAX Missoula, since that’s what I was really after.
- Found another TV schedule thing, and this one was a bit better. It was more focused on the actual shows and times, which is what I wanted.
While I was digging around, I remembered that K-PAX movie, with Kevin Spacey. I always wondered if it was based on a true story or something. Turns out, it’s from a book, not real life. There was some drama though, some other director claimed the movie ripped off his film. Crazy, right?
And the ending of that movie! I watched a video about it. The guy in the movie, Prot, he says he’s from this planet, K-PAX. So, he tells his doctor to take care of this other guy, Robert, before he supposedly goes back to his planet. It’s all kind of confusing, like, was he really an alien, or was it all in his head? Or was it all a big coincidence? Some people say the writing was just bad. Who knows?
I read some stuff about how this journalist helps figure out that Prot might actually be this guy Robert, who had some really bad stuff happen to him. Like, his family was killed, and then he killed the guy who did it. So, maybe Prot was just a way for him to deal with all that trauma. It’s a heavy movie when you think about it.

There’s also this Bess character, who supposedly goes back to K-PAX with Prot, but she was already a patient at the hospital. What happened to her body, then? It’s a weird mystery. It’s said that she’s kind of like Prot, so maybe they’re both just, like, in some other dimension or something?
Oh, and there’s this theory that the movie talks about traveling faster than light, and that Einstein was wrong. I don’t know about all that, but it’s interesting to think about.
Anyway, that’s my whole journey down the K-PAX rabbit hole. Started with trying to find a TV schedule, ended up thinking about aliens and alternate dimensions. The internet is a weird place, man.
