Okay, so today I messed around with “joshua weems,” which, if you don’t know, seems to be related to some kind of image generation or AI art thing. I’m not gonna lie, I went in pretty blind. I just saw the name popping up and figured, “Why not?”

First Steps – Total Confusion
First, I just tried to get a feel for what it even was. I did some searching, and it seemed related to these other tools or concepts that are around creative image work. My brain was spinning a bit, trying to connect all the dots.
Experimenting – Making Some Weird Stuff
So, I started playing around. No real plan, just throwing things at the wall and seeing what stuck. Here’s a rough breakdown of what I did:
- Tried different prompts: I started with basic stuff, like “a cat in space,” then got progressively weirder, like “a philosophical potato contemplating the universe.”
- Messed with styles: I saw some options for different art styles, so I clicked around. “Cyberpunk,” “impressionist,” “steampunk potato”…you name it, I probably tried it.
- Tweaked settings I didn’t understand: There were sliders and buttons. I pushed and pulled them. Did I know what they did? Nope. Did it make a difference? Sometimes!
Results – A Mixed Bag
Honestly, the results were all over the place. Some were kinda cool, in a “what am I even looking at?” kind of way. Some were just…blurry messes. I definitely got a few “philosophical potatoes” that looked more like abstract blobs than deep thinkers.
I quickly realized I was just scratching the surface. There’s probably a ton more you can do with this, especially if you actually know what you’re doing. Which, clearly, I don’t. But it was fun to just jump in and make some weird digital art.
It seems I need to do a lot more playing around to get really good results. But hey, that’s part of the process, right? Today was all about just seeing what “joshua weems” could do, and it definitely surprised me with its potential.
