So, the other day I was messing around with this “john tao” thing. It’s been on my to-do list for a while, and I finally got around to actually trying it out.
Getting Started
First, I needed to, you know, actually find the thing. It wasn’t like a simple download or anything. I had to dig around a bit on some forums and stuff. Finally, I found what I was looking for. A bit of a pain, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
I got the needed files, double-checked everything, made sure I understood at the basic level. The instructions, though… not exactly crystal clear. A lot of it was just, “Do this, then do that,” without a ton of explanation. So, I had to kind of feel my way through it.
The Messy Middle
- First up, I ran this one file. It spat out a bunch of text, most of which I didn’t really get. But, no errors, so that’s a win!
- Next, I had to tweak some settings in a config file. This was probably the trickiest part. I had to guess at a few of the values. More trial and error.
- Then, I launched another part of it. This time, I actually saw something happening! It was slow, like, really slow. But at least it was doing something.
- And then… it crashed. Yep, just stopped working. No error message, just… gone. So, back to square one, kind of.
Figuring It Out (Eventually)
After a few more rounds of tweaking, restarting, and general head-scratching, I finally got it to work. I’m still not 100% sure why it’s working now, to be honest. I think I just changed enough things that I accidentally stumbled on the right combination.
I played around with it for a while, tested out some of the features. It’s pretty cool, actually. Definitely some potential there. Not the most user-friendly thing I’ve ever used, but worth the effort, I think.
So that is all for my share about this * you find it useful.
