Is Thicc Pikachu the Best Pikachu? Find Out Why Fans Are Obsessed With This Version!

So, I got this crazy idea to make a thicc Pikachu. You know, give the little electric guy some extra, uh, cushion. I saw all these cool custom Pokemon stuff online, and I thought, “Why not?” Plus, Pikachu’s always been a fan favorite, right? Even with a gazillion other Pokemon out there now, Pikachu’s still the top dog.

Is Thicc Pikachu the Best Pikachu? Find Out Why Fans Are Obsessed With This Version!

First, I sketched out a few designs. I mean, how thicc are we talking here? Just a little chubby, or full-on thunder thighs? I went through like, a whole notepad, just drawing different versions. Finally, I landed on a design that looked like Pikachu after a few too many Thanksgiving dinners. Perfect.

Next, I had to figure out how to actually make this thing. I’m not exactly a master sculptor, but I’ve dabbled in some clay projects before. So, I grabbed some polymer clay in Pikachu-yellow, black, and a bit of red for those rosy cheeks. I started with the body, just rolling the clay into a big, round ball. Then I added the limbs, which were basically just smaller, thicker sausages. Getting the tail to stick was a bit of a pain, had to use some wire and a lot of smoothing to get it to stay put.

  • Shaping the Head: This was tricky. I wanted to keep that iconic Pikachu face, but with a bit more… volume. I ended up making the head separately and then attaching it to the body. Used a toothpick to carve out the eyes and mouth.
  • Adding Details: The ears were easy enough, just flat triangles. But those little red circles on the cheeks? Man, those were tough. Had to roll out tiny, thin snakes of red clay and then carefully place them. My hands were cramping like crazy.
  • Baking Time: Followed the instructions on the clay package, popped my thicc Pikachu into the oven, and hoped for the best. I was so nervous, kept peeking in every few minutes to make sure it wasn’t melting or something.

The Big Reveal

After what felt like forever, the timer finally went off. I pulled out my creation, let it cool down, and… there it was. A thicc Pikachu in all its glory. It was definitely bigger than I originally planned, and the clay had cracked a little in some places, but overall, I was pretty stoked. I even painted on some extra details, like the black tips of the ears and some shading to really make those curves pop. It was hilarious, the way I put so much effort into details. Now, it’s sitting proudly on my shelf, a testament to my weird crafting adventures. I might make a whole series of these, who knows? Thicc Snorlax, anyone?
