Okay, here’s my blog post about the WOW Mountain Dew promotion:
So, I saw this thing online about getting some game codes if you buy specially marked bottles of Mountain Dew. And you know, I wanted to get those codes! They said it was for some game items. Seemed pretty straightforward, right? I figured I’d give it a shot.
Find the Right Bottles
First things first, I needed to find those darn Mountain Dew bottles. Not every store had them, apparently. I went to a couple of convenience stores near me, but no luck. They just had the regular bottles. Then, I hit up a big grocery store, and boom! There they were, a whole display of them. The bottles had these bright labels saying you could get some game stuff, so I knew I was in the right place.
Buy a Bunch
I grabbed a few bottles – didn’t want to go too crazy since I wasn’t even sure how this whole thing worked. I also picked up a 12-pack, just in case I needed more codes. Better safe than sorry, I guess. I mean, who knows how many codes you really need?
Look for the Codes
Once I got home, I started inspecting the bottles. The codes were supposed to be under the caps. So, I twisted off a cap, and sure enough, there was a code printed on the underside. It was a mix of letters and numbers. I opened another bottle, and yep, another code. I did that for each one and wrote down all the codes I found in a notepad app.
Enter the Codes
- Next, I had to figure out where to actually enter these codes.
- The bottle mentioned a website where I should go.
- I typed that into my browser, and it took me to some kind of a promotional page.
- I found the spot to enter the codes and carefully typed them in, one by one.
Get the Rewards
After I entered all the codes, I had to wait a bit. Then, I checked my email, and there it was! A message with the actual game codes and instructions on how to redeem them in the game. Finally, I got the items and it was easy from there.
All in all, it was kind of a fun little scavenger hunt. I ended up with a bunch of game items and a fridge full of Mountain Dew. Would I do it again? Maybe. It was cool getting the items, but it was also a bit of work. If you’re really into the game, it’s probably worth it. Just be prepared to drink a lot of soda!
