Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another wild story. This one’s about my latest obsession – Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and how they’ve been a surprisingly good luck charm for me lately.

So, I started getting into Yu-Gi-Oh! a while back. It’s not just the anime, I really got into the actual card game. I began building my deck, researching strategies, the whole nine yards. It was just a fun hobby at first, something to do in my downtime.
Then, something weird happened. I noticed that whenever I had a good Yu-Gi-Oh! card with me, especially during competitions, things just seemed to go my way. I know, it sounds crazy, but it felt like these cards were bringing me luck. I decided to test this out, you know, just to see if it wasn’t just a coincidence.
I started carrying my favorite cards with me to every event. At the American Olympic trials, I even showed off a few of them, along with a Duel Disk. People were looking at me like I was nuts, but I didn’t care. I was having fun, and it felt like it was working.
There’s this bet I have with Chase Ealey, another athlete. She’s big into Naruto, and we have this ongoing thing about our favorite anime. So, part of this whole Yu-Gi-Oh! display was related to that bet. It was all in good fun, but it also felt like it was adding to the good vibes.
- I even pulled out a card during a race once! Just zipped it out of my uniform like a magician. Corny? Maybe. But hey, it felt right in the moment.
- One time, I flashed a card at the hotel, and the lady at the front desk upgraded my room! I’m not saying it was just because of the card, but it sure didn’t hurt.
Look, I know it sounds superstitious, but ever since I fully embraced this Yu-Gi-Oh! thing, things have been going pretty great. It’s like these cards are a part of my routine now, a part of my success. Whether it’s the actual cards or just the confidence they give me, I’m not questioning it.

So, that’s my story about Yu-Gi-Oh! and how it’s become my unexpected good luck charm. It’s a bit silly, a bit out there, but it’s been a fun ride. And who knows, maybe there’s something to this whole thing after all. Catch you guys in the next one!
