Okay, so I’ve been messing around with these TaylorMade PSI irons for a while now, and I gotta say, it’s been a bit of a journey. I started off just wanting to up my golf game a little, you know? I heard these were supposed to be pretty good, so I figured, why not give ’em a shot?

Choosing the Right Clubs
First thing I did was try to figure out which PSI irons were even right for me. I mean, there are a bunch of choices. Apparently, there are these PSI, PSI Tour. I guess the Tour versions are for people who are, like, way better at golf than me. So, I went with the regular PSI ones. They’re supposed to be more “forgiving,” whatever that means. I guess it just means if you mess up a swing, it won’t be as bad.
Getting the Clubs
Once I figured out which ones I wanted, I ordered them. When they arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning, all excited to try them out.
First Impressions
I took them out to the driving range, and honestly, the first few swings were… not great. I was all over the place. But then I started to get the hang of it. These things have something called a “Speed Pocket” in some of the irons. No idea what that actually does, but I guess it’s supposed to make the ball go further. And I think it does! I started hitting the ball further than I used to, which was pretty cool.
Practice Makes Perfect
So I kept practicing. And practicing. And practicing. It was tough, but I could feel myself getting better. I was hitting the ball straighter, further, and more consistently. These irons are known for their “distance,” which I guess means how far you can hit the ball. And yeah, they definitely deliver on that.
Figuring Out the Differences
I also read online that these are similar to some other TaylorMade irons, the RSi 2, but supposed to be better in some ways. I’ve never used those, so I can’t really compare. But from what I can tell, these PSI irons do feel pretty good. They look pretty cool, too.

Getting More Technical (Sort Of)
Later on, I learned that TaylorMade came out with some new irons, the P770 and P750 Tour Proto. Apparently, these are supposed to replace the PSI and PSI Tour. They tested them with professional golfers and everything. But for now, I’m sticking with my PSIs. I’m not a pro, so I don’t think I need those fancy new ones. Maybe someday, but not yet.
My Final Thoughts
All in all, it’s been a good experience with these TaylorMade PSI irons. They’re not magic or anything, but they’ve definitely helped me improve my game. I’m hitting the ball better than I ever have before, and that’s all I really wanted. It took a lot of practice, but it was worth it. If you’re looking to get better at golf, these might be worth checking out. Just be prepared to put in the work!
